Where This Meets That
“Tuesday Tunage” is a weekly spotlight for music I deem worthy of a spotlight. To make it worth all of our time, I’ll do my best to emphasize tunes you probably haven’t heard before that represent the art in all its glorious varieties.
In a previous edition of “Tuesday Tunage”, I featured a band from Sweden called Air France. This week, I feature a band called Air that comes from France. I know, it can all get so . . . déroutant, but have no fear, if you find yourself confused and need some “Air”, then you’ve come to the right place!
Air is a synthesizer-driven French duo formed in the mid-1990’s by an architecture student and a mathematics student. Their music is a wonderful flavor of downtempo electronica, offering soundscapes that will quickly sweep you away if you’re not careful.
Below is “Casanova 70” off their 1997 debut EP Premiers Symptômes. The entire EP is excellent if you’re looking for something a little different in your rotation.
I hope you enjoy!
