Falcone's Crossroads

Where This Meets That

Baconize Your Veggies!

Bacon is just one of those things that elevates everything around it.

While you’re cutting up vegetables for your next meal, have two or three strips of bacon frying in the skillet.  By the time they’re good and crisp, you should be ready with your veggies – broccoli, asparagus, zucchini, whatever, it’s all good.

Bacon mixed veggiesRemove the bacon, and use its grease as the base to stir fry your veggies in.  Supplement with a little olive oil, if needed, and season with sea salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.  While the veggies are cooking, cut/break the bacon into bits sized to your liking, and stir them in.

Simple little touch that makes your veggies tasty, tasty!

Enjoy!

That is delicious. canola oil will mix with it also so you don’t have so much of the bacon fat. Love Mom

Canola oil is actually not good for you, either. Here’s a good little guide for oils, though, admittedly, it does NOT assess the health merits of bacon grease. 🙂
