Where This Meets That
I have a secret.
One I have hidden for all my days, and the kind some might hide for a lifetime.
As a boy among boys who always challenged me to impromptu games of Tic Tac Toe, I was, indeed, always challenged.
The mere breath of the words wrenched at me.
I always panicked, because it made me think that all the other kids knew my secret and were naming me instead of truly inviting me to play.
See, I have a secret. I keep it deep down, inside my very shoe.
My secret. My Tic Tac Toe.
P.S., So, if you’ve ever seen me run and wondered how I could be so slow, well, now you know it’s my Tic Tac Toe.
