Where This Meets That
“Tuesday Tunage” is a weekly spotlight for music I deem worthy of a spotlight. To make it worth all of our time, I’ll do my best to emphasize tunes you probably haven’t heard before that represent the art in all its glorious varieties.
New Zealander Liam Finn debuted in 2007 with his Beatles-esque, self-produced album I’ll Be Lightning. Finn plays most of the instruments on the album and mixes folkish nuances, pop sensibility, and a psychedelic edge with quality words sung sincerely. While it’s hard to pick a high point on I’ll Be Lightning, this week’s featured track, “Remember When,” pretty well represents everything that makes the album great.
