Falcone's Crossroads

Where This Meets That

Convert YOUR Fat into Funding for Those Who Need It!

Seven weeks ago, I introduced my pet project for the year: Tip the Scales 2012! (aka, “TS2012”)

The grand idea was to “convert my fat into funding” for a brotherhood of missionaries (Missionaries of the Poor) who have given their lives to help the poorest of the poor around the world.  The method of this conversion was to be by finding sponsors for my attempt to lose weight – specifically, 100 lbs this year.

Only seven weeks in, I’m delighted to say that I have lost 21 lbs and, through generosity of many, raised nearly $3,000 in pledged donations.

Today kicks off a new chapter of TS2012’s story that invites participants to use the 40-days of Lent to “convert their own fat into funding” for this brotherhood.

Take a look at the new Lenten Challenge page at tipthescales2012.com, and let me know what you think!

Brilliant! I lost 20 pounds, and didn’t get a thing for it. You have invented the fat fairy.
