Where This Meets That
I find high-speed film fascinating. It reveals an everyday world hidden from everyday view. Sometimes it’s for better and sometimes for worse, but it’s always fascinating.
Just a drop of water seems to defy our laws of physics when filmed at about 3,000 frames-per-second. Surface tension’s a pretty cool thing.
A face-slap. Ladies, remember that guy you slapped at that party in college? If you would have seen it like this, you might have slapped him again!
Water balloon to the face. Another score for surface tension.
People sneezing. This hilarious video reminds us to cover our mouths and noses when we sneeze and to wash our hands when we’re done!
Fly catches frog with tongue. ‘Nuff said.
Ah, thought I’d mixed up the tongue-er with the tongue-ee in my description, didn’t you!
OK, OK, since the last one was a joke, here’s a variation from where we started: liquid droplets colliding at 5,000 FPS.
I hope you enjoyed and have a great weekend!
